In our complex, overstimulated modern world we rely on artists to single out a specific visual coherence that inspires and moves us. Out of the millions of particles of energy calling on us for attention, we trust the artist to isolate out the most significant message — like an ambassador for a unique, unexplored point of view.
In 2023, The Astral Planner launched Per Aspera Ad Astra — an empowerment initiative for the art and design community. Whether it’s supporting college students in classrooms of fine art, fashion, dance, sculpture, photography, music, literature or emerging artists within organizations of performing arts — The Astral Planner is delighted to support the next generation of creative entrepreneurs by providing them with introspective, organizational tools to lead purposeful and passionate careers within their chosen professional field.
To request an in-kind planner donation for your students, please review the eligibility requirements and complete the attached form below.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
01. All in-kind planner donation requests must be submitted by the school administrator, program facilitator, teacher, or class instructor of a US based university, college, or performing arts organization.
02. Institutions must have an accredited and active BFA or MFA program within one of the following disciplines:
— Fashion/Textile/Print Design
— Graphic Design & Animation
— Literature
— Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Film, Theatre)
— Photography
— Studio Arts (Sculpture, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting)
— Entrepreneurship
TIMELINE
In-kind planner donation inquiries are reviewed on a rolling basis from March throughout the remainder of the year. Filling out the form does not guarantee a donation. Planner donation quantities are pre-determined at the beginning of the year and are distributed to eligible organizations on a first come, first serve basis.
FAQ’s
What product donations may I request for my students?
We are able to donate Imperfect Editions of the 2023 Executive Daily Planner in both Signature Black and Dove Grey. Imperfect Planners are fully usable but will have minor imperfections on the linen hardcover.
How many planners may I request?
Please specify the exact number of students you are requesting a planner for and we will do our best to accommodate eligible applicants' requests based on our available donation stock.
When will I find out if my donation request has been accepted?
We strive to provide a response within 5-7 business days from submission date. If you do not receive a notification from us within this timeframe, it indicates that we are regrettably unable to fulfill your request at this time. Re-occurring donation partners are typically approved promptly, pending the availability of the requested quantity.
If I am a local Chicago organization, can I pick up the planner donations instead?
We are not able to accommodate local pick ups at this time.
FAQ’S CONT.
Who covers shipping?
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the requestee. We are not able to cover these expenses. If your application is approved, we will send an invoice to the email address provided in the submission form, along with instructions on how to submit payment for shipping costs.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the package weight and distance it needs to travel. It is essential to settle the shipping payment in order for us to facilitate the delivery of your donation. Failure to make the payment will result in the planners being returned to the donation pool. Once the payment is received, your donation will be promptly shipped within 2-3 business days.
Please note: We are not able to ship to non-contiguous states of Alaska and Hawaii, and all other off-shore areas, such as American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
